Applying your Geography skills in the field

One of the highlights of our Geography, International Development Studies and Natural Hazard Management degrees is the opportunity to take part in fieldwork relevant to your subject. These visits provide valuable hands-on experience and the chance to apply the skills you will learn in the classroom out in the field. Helpfully, if a field visit or residential trip is part of a core module, then it is funded by the University!

We hope these image galleries give you some idea of the kind of work our students do on their field visits.

If you'd like to visit us to learn more about the opportunities available to you in the Department of Geography and International Development, you can book a visit on an Applicant Day or Open Day.
