Christmas 2017 in Chester

Christmas is always an exciting time for our students. As the nights draw in and the temperatures drop, students are looking forward to finishing their assignments, celebrating with their friends and family, experiencing the festive experiences the city has to offer, and enjoying a well-earned rest after a busy first term of the year.

The festive season kicks off with the Christmas lights switch on in the city centre. Our Events Management students often help the organise the event, which always draws large crowds.

The annual Christmas markets are always popular, with independent stalls selling all kinds of Christmas gifts, food and drink.

This year, we were lucky to get a dusting of snow, which our students took full advantage of!

However, there were some fabulous Christmas jumpers on display to keep the chill away!

It was wonderful to see our students decorating their rooms and halls and getting into the Christmas spirit.
