If you’ve selected Chester as either your Firm or Insurance choice, you might be wondering about the process for applying for accommodation. Well, applications for University owned and partnership accommodation are now open. You should soon be receiving information through the post about our online application process. As soon as you’ve received these details you can then start to apply online.
However, if you haven’t yet decided whether you would like to accept your offer from us, don’t worry. There’s no ‘first come, first served’ policy at Chester, so as long as you submit your application to us by Friday 24th July, your application will be considered fairly. So there’s no need to worry about rushing your decision.
How does it all work?
When it comes to applying for University accommodation, you don’t need to pick a specific residence; just your preferred board basis. You can choose to be either full board, semi-catered or self-catered. So if you don’t want to cook, you don’t have to and this saves on the washing up too!
You can also apply for place within our partnership accommodation block at Tramways. Brand new for September 2015, Tramways offers stylish and modern accommodation in a great location in the centre of Chester.
When you are ready to begin your application, you should login to PASS, our Pre-Arrival Student Site. Your username for PASS is your student number. Your student number can be found on the letter we’ll be sending you in the post. Your password is your date of birth in the format: CheYYYYMMDD. So, if your date of birth is 01/01/1995, your password would be Che19950101.
If you haven’t already done so, we’d recommend spending some time thinking about what’s important to you and researching the various options available at Chester. If you have put Chester down as either your Firm or Insurance choice, we’ll be sending you an information guide shortly, but in the meantime why not refer to our website or call us to speak to a member of the Accommodation team.
If you haven’t yet booked yourself onto an Applicant Day, and you currently hold an offer with us, make sure you don’t miss your chance to visit us. To book yourself onto an Applicant Day, please refer to our Applicant Day pages.
