Dance students from the Performing Arts Department of the University of Chester collaborated with lecturer Angharad Harrop to create a film for the Pina Bausch Foundation's NELKEN-Line project - a global project celebrating the legacy of renowned German choreographer, Pina Bausch and her work with the Tanztheater Wuppertal.
Monday 20th November
As far as the British government was concerned, the answer to this question was simple: men of military age should volunteer for the army and then fight – normally in the trenches of the Western Front – to defend their homes, family and country. As this well-known poster implied, the First World War was certainly not the time for a healthy young man to be sitting at home in a comfortable armchair; his place was instead at the front.
Tuesday 7th November
Last week was a week of tossing hats in the air, collecting certificates and meeting up with friends before going into the big wide world of work. It was graduation week!
Tuesday 31st October
If you’re in the process of filling in your UCAS application and deciding on your future university, you’ll have probably attended a few open days by now. Visiting in person is the best way to see and feel if an institution is right for you. Although we know it can be difficult to fit all the open days in, with so many of them landing on the same weekends.
Thursday 26th October
Our Children’s Nursing course at the University of Chester promotes a hands-on approach, with 50% spent out in practice in a wide variety of settings across Cheshire and the Wirral.
If you’d like to study Children’s Nursing with us, it’s worth thinking about where you’d consider for a placement in advance. If you’re invited to interview, you will be asked to select your practice placement choice on the day. If you’re successful, you will be assigned a placement in the offer you receive.

Tuesday 17th October
The University of Chester was ranked 17th in the country for its Hospitality, Event Management & Tourism courses in the most recent Guardian League Tables, and aims to offer practical experience of the industry with employability at its core.
Hannah Clewley, aged 26, graduated with a First Class Honours Events Management degree from Chester in 2012. Find out how the experience she gained at Chester has led her to making stadium events happen all over the world.

Friday 13th October
Performing Arts at the University of Chester achieved an impressive score of 96% overall student satisfaction in the 2017 National Student Survey, the largest national survey of final year undergraduates in the country.

Law with Business student Ayfer took a trip of a lifetime to China for her Experiential Overseas Learning module. She made great friends, saw incredible sights and gained a valuable insight into the career path she’d like to take once she's graduated. Here’s just a snapshot of what she got up to.

Freshers' Week 2017 was hectic! Settling in, making friends, getting to grips with the new surroundings and courses. It's not easy to show how great the week was but our students and staff did a pretty good job.
