    Performing Arts Students Dance the NELKEN-Line

    Dance students from the Performing Arts Department of the University of Chester collaborated with lecturer Angharad Harrop to create a film for the Pina Bausch Foundation's NELKEN-Line project - a global project celebrating the legacy of renowned German choreographer, Pina Bausch and her work with the Tanztheater Wuppertal.

    As far as the British government was concerned, the answer to this question was simple: men of military age should volunteer for the army and then fight – normally in the trenches of the Western Front – to defend their homes, family and country. As this well-known poster implied, the First World War was certainly not the time for a healthy young man to be sitting at home in a comfortable armchair; his place was instead at the front.

    Our Children’s Nursing course at the University of Chester promotes a hands-on approach, with 50% spent out in practice in a wide variety of settings across Cheshire and the Wirral.

    If you’d like to study Children’s Nursing with us, it’s worth thinking about where you’d consider for a placement in advance. If you’re invited to interview, you will be asked to select your practice placement choice on the day. If you’re successful, you will be assigned a placement in the offer you receive.

    Hannah Clewley, aged 26, graduated with a First Class Honours Events Management degree from Chester in 2012. Find out how the experience she gained at Chester has led her to making stadium events happen all over the world.
